Comment: To add to jim21's post: Deepest section IS straight off the boat ramp and is WELL over 40 feet. Guys troll for trout into July here. The lake is made up of 2 big basins with a VERY shallow stretch in the middle. The opposite end of the lake (opposite from the boat launch) has a similar hole around 35 feet deep. I watched guy rip trout after trout out of the water down there one day fishing live bait deep.

The bass and pike fishing is very good, but the weeds are extremely thick. There is an association that pays someone to cultivate the weeds, and the guy who does it is there all summer, almost every day, as it is quite a chore. I spoke with him multiple times, and he informed me that there he leaves the undeveloped sections of the lake alone for the bass fishermen. These spots are few and far between, but there is no shortage of cover even when he is harvesting the weeds. as he put it, "The minute I finish the entire lake, it's ready for me to start over again."

This makes bass fishing extremely difficult and your best bet is rubber worms, or working just above weed edges with spinnerbaits or floating Rapalas. I have yet to see any bass over 3 pounds landed personally, but it has the structure and ability to hold them. Trophy northern pike are often taken through the ice, and I have caught many over 7 pounds. Not a monster pike, but one hell of a fish. The lake is loaded with speed boat/water skiing traffic and is a miserable place to fish and relax during the summer unless you're off the water by 10AM.

Comment: I generally fish this lake in early May and then after Labor Day, as there are so many cottages on the lake; summer traffic is heavy from mid morning on.
Deepest sections are straight out from ramp and at far end of lake....about 20'. Good size Rainbow trout are stocked both Spring and Fall; and there is a healthy population of yellow and white perch as well. Mid section of the lake is heavily weeded, and supposedly has a population of Northern Pike; but I neither fish for them or have caught any.
