Wachusett Fishing Report
Popped My Laker Cherry
Met Muskie at B&A bait at 5! Got to the spot and Aem was waiting for us in the Parkin lot! Lines in by 530ish! Fished till 9
Bunch of trips hits and Eric had a good run! But no fish!
That's when I tried for salmon!
Found a dirt spot to park! Walked through the woods! Hiked down to the mouth! No signs of life!
Talked to a couple guys they said there's a bunch of cars at the bridge!
Hiked from that bridge to the 290 bridge bush waking my way! Saw some good salmon!
At one point they were swimming at my feet!
But couldn't get them to bite! Fished for salmon from 930 to 330! Had one follow on a small green rooster tail
One guy caught a pin for salmon! A 4.5 lbser!
I saw one guy loose a monster! He said a 6lber!!!!
Talking to one guy on the river! He said bottom bounce a spoon for lakers! He gave me a spot to try with a nice ledge!
He's the 3rd person that told me to fish here!
Packed up! Short walk!
Bait the hook! Tossed out my shiners! Nothing!
Casting my spoon out a friggin mile! Gota love that braid!!!!!!!
Bouncing it along! Few cast nothing!
Took a cast bounced it a couple times! Let it lay on the bottom! Took some pics of the beautiful lake!
Started reeling in! Thought I hooked a log or a clump of weeds! Then it started head shaking!
I was like I got a fish! It's a friggin laker!! Wahooooo!!!!!!!
Only one fish! Couple of hits saw some biggons!
Even tho it's a baby laker! A 1.8 lbsers
But who cares! I CAUGHT MY FIRST LAKER!!!!!!!!!

Tis cherry poppin season for sure! Popped mine tonight! Large ahiner off bottom bout little over 2lb small but another bucket list fish off the list. Had a pike slice my line while dragging it to shore earlier this yr or it would have been a triple play of bucket fish this yr!

Hoping to pop my laker cherry this wk hitting gate 8 tomorrow morn still debating whether all salmon should be under same umbrella caught a king this yr but have never gotten a land locked
