Plymouth, MA Fishing Report
Plymouth, MA 8/18/13
My son and I hit a new pond for us on Sunday at 4:30 and had a very productive 2.5 hours. My son got things started as we approached the island. He was trolling a Panther Martin inline spinner and hooked up a fish that we haven't caught before.
From my research on the internet and a book, I'm calling it a White Perch. I'd love to hear from the MA Fish Finder community to confirm or refute my ID on the fish. Check out the pictures.
He caught two that were 9" and 10" and I caught two that were 14" and 8". I don't think they are smallmouths, not enough fight and no leaps. All of the other smallmouths we've ever caught made at least one leap and fought like crazy to throw their hooks.
