i got a pond with not a lot of shalow water. drop offs are steep!!

any tips for fishing deep stained water for large mouts

Try a 3/4 to 1 oz spinner bait with Colorado blades the round blades ...

I have caught tons of 4-5lb smallies as well as some big largies up to 6 lbs on the drop shot. The spider jig is also a great big fish bait.

That fish isn't even a six pounder looks like a typical 31/2 to 4lber to me IMO

The main forage for smallies on the Cape & Plymouth area would have to be yellow perch and crayfish IMO.

Dont know where you live but Mashpee/Wakeby has some big white cats in it. I see guy's fishing at night from shore all the time.

Stick with the jig I have stuck a few over 5 this year already you just cant beat a black jig with a trailer.
