Lunch Break
OK... I was transferred to a new job in Waltham and saw a pond on the GPS while driving to work. It was only 5 minutes from the store so I had to check it out! Here's the deal...only an hour for lunch.
WRONG!
I started work early and took a 2 hour lunch. Best lunch of the year. Caught 7 lg mouth and 1 rock bass the biggest was 2+lb. All on a shallow diving crankbait that was retrieved v e r y s l o w l y just under the surface. The water was brownish in color but I was still able to see to the bottom at 2-3ft depth around the perimiter. The deepest area is aprox 5ft near a pier to the left of the ramp. The ramp is located behind a playground. Parking was limited today (saturday) due to families using the playground but there is parking for 20 to 25 cars in the lot...plus street parking. The pond is very shallow especially at the ramp and at the far end where there are large boulders.
