Lovewells Pond Description

This pond is full of black crappie. The largest on I have seen so far was 14.5 inches. Theres gotta be bigger ones in there. You need to park at the road(old ridge rd) and walk a canoe in to fish it. Due to the pond having a moat halfway around it and having a swamp on the other side there is no shore fishing available.

Fish the brush near the shore of the pond from a canoe. Water is really dark.

We have had good luck using chartruse jigs and grubs and white bucktailed jigs. We have only caught crappie here. I'm willing to bet that if you try shiners you'll get some Pickerel and maybe something else.
