This 105-acre pond has a maximum depth of 26 feet and an average depth of 12 feet. Most of the shoreline is moderately developed with year round homes. The Public Access Board owns an access at the southern end of the pond just off Route 40 suitable for launching car top boats and canoes. Parking space is available opposite the access site off Route 40.
This pond is stocked with rainbow, brown and/or brook trout every spring and fall. It is also known to support a diverse population of warm water species including largemouth bass, brown bullhead, bluegill, white perch, yellow perch, chain pickerel, black crappie, golden shiner and smallmouth bass.
This pond supports heavy local fishing pressure, particularly during the spring trout-stocking season. Unfortunately, shore-fishing access is limited to a relatively narrow area surrounding the public access site on the south end of the pond. We have little information on summer fishing prospects, but this pond is known to be a good ice fishing spot, producing fair to good action on largemouth bass and chain pickerel.
