Leach Pond, Upper Leach Pond, Pud's Pond Dam

Walked the entire shoreline of Leach Pond, the Upper Pond, and fished the dam at Pud's pond. Access is very limited due to heavy brush. Bottom is weedy with a lot of sunken wood cover, and shallow. Lilypads cover most of the lower pond and a lot of the Upper in the summer, but it was mostly clear this early in May.

Worked a weedless kut-tail Senko in green pumpkin most of the day. Got a lot of bites on it from some little bass around the pads and what I think were small muskies close to shore, but nothing noteworthy. The lower pond seems to have the most activity.

Not sure if wading is allowed but it would be very helpful.

Comments

  • Are you talking about Borderland in Easton? There are no muskies, those would be pickerel. Plenty of bass but no real size to them. Plenty of ticks and horseflies. Tough place!
