THERE IS A PUBLIC BEACH AND A BOAT RAMP. THE BOAT RAMP IS RATHER STEEP AND 4 WHEEL DRIVE MAY BE NEEDED.
Fresh Pond is a 62 acre natural kettlehole pond with an average depth of 12 feet and a maximum depth of 30 feet. The pond is fed by groundwater and a small inlet from Warner Pond and has an outlet to cranberry bogs and Beaver Dam Brook. The bottom is composed of sand and rubble, and the water is clear and has good transparency at 15 feet. There is only scant emergent aquatic vegetation. Most of the 1.3 miles of shoreline is developed with houses. Fresh Pond is located in the Manomet section of Plymouth and access is located off Bartlett Road, roughly a mile south of its connection with Route 3 A. The town of Plymouth provides a steep, unpaved ramp suitable for canoes and cartop boats. A nearby parking lot at the town beach can accommodate numerous vehicles. The pond can also be accessed off Route 3A through a drainage easement. Fish Populations: yellow perch, pumpkinseed, bluegill, largemouth bass, banded killifish, chain pickerel, brown trout, brown bullhead, rainbow trout, white perch, smallmouth bass and American eel
