Caught some good ones today.Water temp.43 to 45,wind calm.Had a few bites early and missed them.I decided to throw a crankbait after seeing Riches post about cold water,thanks Rich,I snagged a 5 pounder.As the day continued we threw the cranks with no result except Scotty had one on then it got off.
We found some weedbeds and that was it.Senkos and plastic craw baits.We caught 7 or 8 more fish.I got 2 more in the 5 pound range on a craw.
We left that spot in search of more with no luck.Before we left we went back and I got 3 more 2.5 to 3 pounders.Scotty wasn't happy that he only got 2 but that's fishing.We did get a couple of big pickerel though.I'm still waiting for him to learn how to take pictures.

If you get one there usually are a few more in the general area as you found out. The old saying, don't leave fish to find fish, holds true this time of the year
