Decent cheap money sonar for cartopper?

Anyone know of any on EBAY or else where?

Whats everyone else using on their cartoppers these days
for electronics...Im sure some have the old touch the bottom with your rod type and others have Lowrance 12 touch with sidescan probably..looking for something inbetween

Same here, it's excellent for "things" underwater (i.e. weeds, grass, trees), but not for fish imo.

mike, i have a Lowrance HDS-5 Gen2. it's the perfect in between. really great detail from structure to fish and has a built in GPS which i needed. i also use both the lowrance and navionics map overlay.

i was going to get the 7 but it wasn't worth it for just the bigger screen.

the 5 is expensive but well worth the money. wait for a sale if you can.

Thx guys..ya I have an old eagle portable, but I think the transducer s*** the bed..it has a funky plug..might try cutting and splicing a lowrance ducer on
