Couple of recent Fish

Been having pretty good results the last couple of weeks.

Caught my biggest of the year 4lb 1oz, not exactly what I was hoping for but there's still time.


Also caught my first fish on the MS Slammer I bought last year. I've been throwing it more
recently with some swipes here and there but finally
hooked up and it was a thrill. I think I need to change
out my hooks. What do you guys use?

I use either Owner ST-36 or ST-41. The 41's on the bigger baits.

Both are great, but the 41s are heavy.. Will weight down buoyant baits.. I threw a pair of 41s on my slow sink BBZ jr and made the ROF faster than i wanted... alot more than the original gamakatsu's

Nice fish John. I've been hit by the small fish curse myself this season. I haven't had any LMB much over 3lbs but at least I've been catching them. Glad you dug the Slammer out from the bottom of your tackle bag.

Nothing wrong with a 4-1...keep throwin that slammer and I'm sure you'll nail a big fall hog!
