Of posting a trip report and only stating one sentence? Nothing about what was caught, baits used etc. You are just wasting peoples time. A litttle creative writing would make it much more interesting! Razz

One sentence trips are better than none, gotta give them credit for sharing something than nothing at all. There are MAFF users who don't even post trips, yet those one sentence trips makes this MAFF site one of the most active in the country. One sentence trips contribute to the use of the MAFF community in one way or another! Wink

I've been out quite a few times this year and not caught anything. Is it worthwhile to post a "no-hitter"? I suppose people could tell me what I was doing wrong but I didn't see the use except for that it wastes a little of everyone's time.

Not at all.. there's plenty of great people on this site willing to help out.

I think you should definitely post about your trips. Describe where you were, what you were fishing for, what you tried, your gear. Give us the details we need to offer some advice. It's no fun to not catch fish.

I went fishing. I caught fish. Then an family of strangers who did not speak english came over took my spot caught all the fish and ate them.

My honey hole is now a putrid mud hole.

So I tried to find another spot but the abutting landowners hate fisherman and will not allow access to the "public" water.

Then a faux EP asked to see my fishing license and when I showed it to him he ripped it up and robbed me at gun point.

Then I hit deer on the way home. I thought he was dead so I put him in the back seat of my car. The deer was not dead just stunned. The deer attacked me kicking me in the head and biting me on the neck.

I stopped at the Stop & Go and called 911.

I was lost and I needed an ambulance.

While I was on the phone a stray dog bit me on the leg.

I had a bad day that day.

That doesn't happen in this state, hahaha, and the e.p.wouldn't do that.

I think you left out some details.

@khaskins

When I asked to see the Faux EP's badge, he said: "Badges! I don't need no stinking badges!"

don, it's sort of like being a member for over 3 years and the only thing they have in there profile is 1 pic. and your telling him to be creative!, it wastes my time to click on your profile, I know now why you only have 2 friends,,,, don , relax , as rich said its his first post, (and I believe its double of what you have)for trips, but with your 550 posts (comments) on this site, it seems you have a lot to say, but nothing to show,,,, so what is the point? they at least are trying to help, unlike some people on this site,, so now don how does it make you feel if that person reads your comment, I know you did not name names , but I'm sure they can figure it out, as I did, and how does it feel that someone like me does the same thing back? you excited? you like this? there are nicer ways to help someone out on posting trips than saying that they are wasting peoples time.drinks are on me..........

I made a simple statement that the one line trip reports offering no information are useless! I did not personally attack anybody. You on the other hand felt the need to take a few shots! The question is, do you feel better Question

I think this post is a waste...it offered nothing about fishing, locations, tips ect. Trips are always different because people are different. No trip out on the water is the exact same which is why I always look forward to them. It's pretty sad that certain members feel the need to call out others...over how they wrote up a fishing trip. Maybe spend more time on the water and less time insulting people which would help you contribute something positive and useful for others, since that seems to be important to you.
