After years of being lost in boxes and boxes of crap i finally found the lost photo of my dads "10lb pounder"
Obviously my dad was just extremely excited at the time for the bass he caught. Never weighted it or anything. My dad fished a decent amount back then when he went with his father-in-law so he caught his fair share of good bass. To this day he still claims it was around 10lb after catching quality bass with me and such.
Quick little story:
Years ago(as you can tell im in the picture screwing up my fishing rod as usually LOL) my dad would frequently try to take my two brothers and i to the local lake. We enjoyed it besides the dumb screwing up and whatnot. Well my dad happen to take me and my bro kevin out on a day that wasn't so good for my dad. He missed a flight and to some important thing and yadada he was pretty down.
Never changed his cloths and took us. He started chucking his $1 walmart spinnerbait and after a handful of fan cost from the shore BAM he hits the fish with his M Berkly rod and 8lb test. He starts stressin hard and tell us to reel in are baits. After a long fight and some drag screamed my dad caught this
What i know now i gotta say it's a impressive bass. After really looking at the size, gut, dad's hand idk maybe he was close??
BTW a younger boy my brothers and i knew was there and just that spring before the summer he pulled a 8lb. Had it mounted and the boy claimed it was bigger?
What does everyone think?? I'd like to hear your thoughts on it?
