They work! You just have to fish them in water that has a relatively clean bottom, or it can be very frustrating Exclamation

I seem to catch lot's of Pickerel! with any type of spoons

With that cold weather coming in a few months a spoon would be a good choice. Ripping a spoon off the bottom for some nice reaction strikes. Like don said try using them in clean places otherwise you'll spend more time taking weeds off then catching fish.

Even right now a spoon can be a useful tool in clear deep water places. Given there deep and inactive for the most part.
