Freshwater bass lures in saltwater?

Going to the cape for a couple of days, I plan on grabbing some leaders and squids, but was curious if it would be worth bringing some of my lures I use on the lakes and ponds around here. I found a few articles by guys who use heddon torpedos and stuff in saltwater, was just curious if you guys had any opinions/ideas?

The hooks will bend I think. Especially if you hook up with something big

They'll work as long as appropriately sized/weight to your rod/reel/line. Especially good if schoolie bass or small blues are around. Just rinse with freshwater afterwards or they will rust on you...
