I go to google maps and pick an area. Put your time in, and you'll get 'em.

Welcome to the site.

1. What part of the state are you in

2. small water, big water, boat ramp, cartopper access?

My advice is to identify a few bodies of water that look interesting on Google maps and then go to the Find Trips tab at the top of this page to review the locations and trips that folks have posted over the years.

If I'm looking for a new fishing hole I always start with the MAFF tournament schedule and then head to Google maps!

One other trick I use is to right click on the location on google maps, click "what's here?", and then the coordinates will pop up in the search bar. Copy those coordinates, and then I go over to Bing.com, maps, and paste the coordinates, enter, then click bird's eye view. This gives you a much lower aerial view, and you can rotate it with the arrows around the compass in the top right. I use this to find trails and shorelines to fish from. Depending on the angle of the photo and the lighting, you can find underwater structure this way too.
