Shad Run on Indian Head River

just reading lastnites paper and it says the Shad are running up the North River and into the Indian head already.Anybody been down to check it out yet? thinking of digging out the waders and catching the tide tomorrow:-)

Tried it a couple of years ago, very shallow, didn't see a fish

You have to be there at the right time,an hour after high tide is when they start running up river but you have to remember the high tide on the Indian Head is at least 2 hours after its high at the mouth of the North River.I went last year(1st time in 15 years) and they were running like crazy,slamming into my legs and jumping right next to me(i didnt catch any but was still fun)

I tried last year. Only once. Last year I saw a couple under the bridge at the park. Didn't catch anything tho. I didn't have any shad darts.

This year is a different story! I'm going to catch one!!!
