Has anyone else heard this superstition about never eating a banana the morning of a fishing trip and u should never bring a banana on a fishing boat? We have had this rule on my boats since i can remember but never really knew the reasoning behind this superstition. Anybody rlse heard this or know the reasoning this has come about? (bored winter talk)

I have heard of it but I pretty much live on a boat 1/2 the year and we always have bananas, so we pretty much ignore that superstition. Also when I go fishing they are usually my snack of choice, but maybe that's why I have had a couple sketchy moments on boats.

Perfect snack Brooksy. They don't have to be kept cold, and they come in their own easily accessible wrapper.
