check the state maps and website for official restrictions

http://www.mass.gov/dfwele/dfw/habitat/maps/ponds/pond_maps.htm

waquequate - you should be fine
long pond - harwich? you're fine
mashpee/wakeby - no problem
monponsett lakes - west isn't a problem

Hey Sam I was checking out that link but I don't see anything about motor restrictions. I looked at Horn pond because I knew it was electric only but don't see that anywhere.

yeah some are outdated. some flat out say what's allowed. i guess you'd have to call the state to be sure at those without the info on the map.

Having a gas motor now I'd hate to show up somewhere and see electric only

our area sucks for gas motors

yup, there's Pillings in Lynnfield. Lake Chebacco In essex and then I'm gonna have to look for something else. When I get out of work at 2 I want to hit the closest spot possible so I'll be at Pillings a lot.

Thanks. What's the motor restriction? Gotta be under 10?

i tried the place last year (thought it sucked). i'd be willing to give it another shot but in regards to putting a trailer in...how do you do that? when i was there, the path leading to the ramp was elevated meaning you would have to drive up and over a curb to put the boat in. is that new?

I looked on google maps and none of the spots are big enough for a car and trailer. Might be off the list
