Lawrence Dam Merrimack River

I have a question:

Above the dam is facing Havardhill, below the dam is facing Lowell Chelmsford? The boat ramp in lawrence is below the dam?

The boat ramp is above the lawrence dam (600 yards just above the dam). Lowell/Chelmsord is above the dam. Haverhill is below...makes absolutely no sense...hope this helps.

Thanks. I was thinking backwards. I am interested to see if there is a deep winter hole below the dam.
