After some showers in the morning it cleared up and turned out to be a hot one. We had some nice bags for day one. Out of 18 boats 15 brought back a five fish limit!
A couple of boats had some engine and live well trouble but it all worked out. I will say hats off to Neil, he's absolutely right about needing a platform scale and a basket system, will make weigh in much smoother.

The top finishers for today go like this

New Combers Tri-county. Are in first with an 11.8lb bag
Matty morefish and partner are in second with an 11.1lb bag
And team halo is at third with a 10.15lb bag
Fourth is last minute entry the underdogs at 10.13 lbs

Same time tomorrow I will be collecting another five bucks from every vehicle, for the good old state.

See you all in the a.m.

Nice work

Hey Johnny, How did those young guys do? I can't begin to tell you how awesome it was seeing them out there. Kudos to the dad that brought them, let them use the boat (I assume it's not theirs) and pick them up.

Those two young guys looked like they were having a good time. I saw them blasting around thoughout the day. Nice to see a Dad committed to his son (s) ?? and the sport. The future of MAFF.

Hope to see them at future tourneys.
