Read this today. And when I saw the record at only 61cm I was a little disappointed. Not at Patrick Sebile, who will end up in the fishing hall of fame, but that it is only about 24inches. Thought it would be longer. The pic in the WFN isn't really that big of a fish, its a DD, but no true monster.

No doubt the length record will be owned by Florida. I got the chance to fish 3 different lakes down there in Feb of this year, and the fish just grow differently down there. There grow long instead of fat. I netted a 9lb for my buddy on the Big O and I was shocked at the length. It was easy close to 2 feet.

I personally love the length record that the IGFA set up a few year ago, but just shocked no one has measured in a 30" bass yet.
