I take 117 to work every day and cross the Sundbury River. This morning I happened to wake up early so I threw my pole, some lures, and my wellies in the car, and went fishing before work.
I tried walking to the end of the canoe launch on the north side of 117 but saw that there wasn't anyplace to fish.
I tried going to the south side of 117, and there was only a place to launch a canoe, and not much shore to fish from on Farrar Pond.
Thanks to google maps on my phone I walked down one of the Mt. Misery trails, and found a beach to fish from on the Sudbury.
The only thing I caught was a tiny bluegill.
I could see bigger fish jumping down river.
My line is now brown (there was a sheen on the water.)
All in all spending an hour fishing in the morning is a nice way to start the day.
Next time I'll see if I can find a spot on Farrar Pond by 117. I saw someone fishing there before.
Cheers,
Patrick
