For any of you that hate paying for bait, like myself, here is our solotion. Small hooks catch small bait fish. With just a little piece of worm, which you can find under a rock or a leave, u will have more fun catching bait then you would imagine. The closest we get to feeling like kids all over again, and it feels great. It does take about a 2lb LMB to take the a Kiva/Bluegill. Pickerel don't usually take them unless they are Big. I understand that you can't use Live Bait in any Toury, but from shore with little kids or a good friend, this will cut the cost down. More money for the Senkos. hahahaha

How do you usually fish them? I fished with shiners a few weeks ago I used a bobber and got nothing and drop shotting just got wrapped up in weeds, not a single hit

Just like a shinner, just in front of the Dorsal fin. U can use a bobber, has to be big enough to not go down from the bait. You will know when it's the real thing. We also free ball with no bobber, on the bottom, if weedy, let them stay where the land. Also, keep your bail open when using this method or follow the bubbles...
