I live off york street near ponkapoag pond, but usually go to sprague pond in dedham. Its filled with carp and huge bass, and almost no one ever fishes there
That must be one of the most polluted bodies of water in the area! maybe that's why the fish grow so big? I've never ventured there even though I live in Dedham just because I figured that if I cast into the water, my lure would bounce back at me.
Interesting to hear there are bass along with the carp.
Also, in response to Canton, as Dedham is just north, I'm a very spotty guy got now when it comes to fishing. Sometimes I grab an hour or two at odd times but there is no way for me to predict.
It's called marriage on the rocks. When things settle or unsettle, I'll have a more regular time.
My guess is later this summer I'll be looking south or west of Boston for living quarters. So long as there's good fishing, it's ok with me.

where do you fish at for sprague pond isnt it all fenced in private property?
You can fish in the parking lot or launch a kayak at precision coating on mcdonald street on the weekends as no-one will be there, and the workers don't seem to mind either if you go on weekdays. I will be there this weekend if anyone wants to join.
