Anybody surf fish in MA? I'm trying to get more into it this year but not sure about where and when to go. Got a new rod this past year so im looking to get into it. Pretty new to me so any suggestions are appreciated, looking mainly for stripers but will go for whatever is in season. Thanks.
I'd hit up the mouths of rivers like the charles around the locks and maybe the Neponset river in quincy, the stripers should be into the rivers at this point chasing the herring that are moving up to spawn. Fishing around JFK/Umass Boston seemed pretty good last Fall. I plan on doing some surf fishing this year too. I've been eyeing a Penn Battle and 7'ft Medium Heavy Penn or Ugly stick rod. Just picked up some 30lb test power pro line too.
