Tate- I saw your trip to Santuit on Wednesday, I don't know enough about the website to email you so I will use this forum. Santuit can be really tough in the spring ( l live on the Cape) The week we had the heat spell, the water temp in Santuit was around 60 degrees. The fish were "ON". Because it is so shallow, it is really influenced by cold fronts. The water temp is back down around 49-50. Watch the weather for the Cape( watching the Boston weather channels doesn't work!!!!) When the night temp is in the 40's, the water temp seems to hold, then the sun warms it in the day and it doesn't lose too much during the night. I've been fishing the small mouth in John's- in fact the day you went to Santuit, I fished Johns and found the sm in 12-16 ft. They had pulled off the spawning areas to the deeper water right near by. Let me know when you want to come down again, and if I've fished that week, I can let you know what may be going on- or go to www.bassfishingcapecodgps.com my website- I try to tell what is going on in the ponds.

I checked out your website, some great information. Water temp definitely slowed them down .... seemed consistent at 47 .... I fished it really really slow yesterday. With the cold temps last week I figured it would cool down fast. The wind was the real challenge yesterday. I use to leave a trailer at Peters Pond fished Santuit all the time. It was fairly unknown at the time and a very healthy fishery. I've been keeping and eye on it over the years with the algae bloom problems and saw they installed circulatetors so clean it up so thought I would give it a try. It did start really slow but picked up later in the day.

Thanks for reaching out and the info. I like fishing that area and it is not to far from my house less than an hour. thanks again - Tate

Santuit has really changed over the years. I can remember when there was grass everywhere, now it's just around the edges. The fish seem to be OK, healthy looking, no sores or marks. I'm catching a lot of little fish, which is good, the spawn seems to be OK. Let me know when you're coming down again !!!!!!!!!!
