Shad Fishing

Guys,
Does anyone know when the Shad Run starts at the Lawrence Dam and where can you park?

Heading down to check it out, heard they were getting them at Rocks Village should have made Lawrence by now.

There is a park just below the Dam and there is plenty of parking in that area. Seen other folks fishing on other side of river behind some of the buildings but not sure about access there. Saw fish skirting through some of the shallows but not sure if herring, or shad, had a couple of hits but got dark quick. Heading back there today to try again!

the other side you would access from merrimack st, walk down the train tracks then jump down a few places to get down.
