That depends on the time of the year, species targeted, etc. This time of year you can always shoot down to the popular Plymouth ponds for the holdover and upcoming stocked trout.
For something a little more aggressive, pickerel tend to stay pretty active and I'm sure you can dip that thing just about anywhere and hook up with a few snakes to keep the cabin fever away. I've been doing fairly well on the picks from shore at a number of smaller South Shore ponds.
