on a mass.gov site it says when the water is between 62 and 68 degrees in late spring. can you guys tell me exactly when that is. last week in may?

There is no "exact time". Its will depend on how the early spring weather is.

It's different from lake to lake and some larger lakes will have spawn in different parts at different times.

Last year, CBS Sports (formerly Verses) had a map of the US that showed the Pre-Spawn/Spawn/Post-Spawn as it moved north.

I have seen bass on beds in April through early July in Mass. Like others have said, depends on the lake, location and water temps. If we have a couple of 3-4 day warming trends in April so that water temps approach the mid 50's, bass will make beds.
In a given "area" smaller , shallower lakes with have an earlier spawn then bigger, deeper lakes only a mile or 2 away.

Last year the peak spawn was the last two weeks of May. Sure that it can vary, but for small lakes in Eastern MA this was the period last year.

Wondering if may go earlier this year. Last year was much tougher winter.
