Heading down to NY this weekend for some camping and I'm going to be right in between still water pond and Canopus Lake on the Taconic State parkway and rt 301. Anyone know anything about the bodies of water in this area...IE good spots,Boat Rental and so on.

The New York City reservoirs are in that area, but you need a permit to access them...its free and good for 5 years, just look it up on google...you can print it right away. I think you need your own boat to access them, but a lot of people troll for trout, so the bass fishing around the shore is pretty good at most of them.
