Hey guys...

I just finished putting together my latest video from my 24 hour session in Rhode Island. I know that not all of you may enjoy carp fishing, or even fishing videos. I ask however that you at least consider checking out the first roughly 5 minutes as it is a message about what one of my favorite you-tube bloggers are doing.

They are called Back of the Landing Net. They do a bunch of carp angling over in the UK and have recently been getting quite big in the sport, so much so that they now have 3 sponsors ( Katch Karp PVA, Mistral Baits, and Nash Tackle ) which is a good thing if your a carp fishermen. In a nutshell Carp is to England what Bass is over here..a big sport.

Long story short, they have been inspired by others to host a charity match to raise money for cancer research. While we can't buy tickets to the match and some of the other neat things being offered we can donate money to the cause. I figured I would post it here in case anyone felt like helping them out on their road to a good thing. I know times are tough across the board but if anyone happens to have anything I know a lot of people would appreciate it!

That said here is a bit more info and of course..the video!

Before I put together my latest 24 hour session in Rhode Island I wanted to do my part to help out one of my favorite youtube bloggers, Back of the Landing Net. Chris and Jay are not only great anglers but they are funny and good natured fellas, who are currently donating much of their time and money to putting together a charity fishing match to raise money toward cancer research. I wanted to help get the word out in the hopes that my subscribers, who may not also watch them might find it in their hearts to donate to this great cause. Below are a few links with more information! You can also check out their video here ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZHACaUjKZhU ) and their official website, which I help moderate Smile here ( http://www.backofthelandingnet.co.uk ). Be sure to stay tuned after the message for my 24 hours session in Rhode Island chasing some big mirror carp.

"Chris and Jay know first hand about Cancer and how it can affect families and friends, as they have both lost Grandparents. Infact, at some point Cancer affects all of us in one way or another.

The lads will be organising a charity carp fishing match, with all of the tickets being made available on auction and all profits going to Cancer Research, also anyone wishing to donate towards the cause can do so here. As an example, if everyone who watched the episodes in the first week, gave a pound, then we would have over £2000 immediately. Back Of The Landing Net viewers have a huge part to play here.

Everybody who donates on this page will be in a draw for the last pair of tickets - to be announced a week before the match. If we mannage to raise £2000 prior to the match, Chris and Jay will present and marshall the episode dressed as Batman and Robin.

This is a charity that both Chris and Jay are very passionate about and are keen to raise money for and hopefully together, we can all make a bit of difference and raise some money for a truly great cause."

So please donate anything you can spare, even if it is a dollar, or a pound or whatever currency you use...every bit counts!

Furthermore be sure to check out Colin at Katch Karp who has been setting up special Ebay auctions which all proceeds from go to the cause and donating various bits as well for the match.
