Thanks a Bunch!! These are much more in my neck of the woods and I am pretty sure I will be giving the Wildwood location a try pretty soon.I don't know that is is quite in the area your looking for but Lake Wildwood in the Upton area has some very nice Calico bass. Also Lake Ripple in Grafton as well, though they are currently dredging parts of Ripple so...both are easily accessible by canoe. In fact Wildwood really only has car-topper access. Ripple you can pull right to the water..Wildwood you may have about a 20 foot walk.
Here is a link with access and such.
Hi, I hope you don't mind my asking; but where are all those Very Large Carp coming from? They wouldn't by any chance be coming from behind the Old Voss's Farm (which is now the Blackstone River & Cannel Heritage Center) by any chance?Sweet, your welcome..all I ask is ya treat it with respect! It is a very nice lake with quite a healthy fishery, and the people who live on the lake are pretty nice as well.
Is it true (that is if you know it is or not) that there are also Catfish in that part of the river (by Riverbend Farm) also? All over the place, really. I fish many waters in both MA and RI..I do fish the Riverbend Farm a lot, which is where your speaking of and I have had fish up to the mid 30's from that area of the river, particularly Rice City..though the average there is much more like 8-12 pounds, especially in the canal section. The two in my profile pic for instance are from Lincoln RI near the Kelly House museum.
I really do need to do more trips..I used to write a bunch of them on my old profile (bedlem) but I've been quite lazy lately. I'm simply uploading a bunch of pics from the last month today
