I used to guide fly fishing trips on the Housatonic River in Cornwall, CT. and the West Branch of the Farmington River in New Hartford part-time for a couple friends who owned fly shops in the area and I taught their fly-tying classes in the winter and helped out with working the sportsman's shows for a couple years until I worked for the U.S./Canada distributer for Airflow Fly Fishing Lines out of England for a couple years. Lived the 'fishing the world dream' for a while then just got burned out on fishing. I quit for 20 years then just picked up an Ultra Light combo on a whim and I keep it simple these days, spin fishing my local ponds with Micro-cranks and black Jitterbugs at night. I have fun now...no more taking it so seriously.
