I practice catch and release myself. If i do decide to keep one for eating,then i will only keep the the smaller ones.Like one or two pounders.These fish eat more to grow bigger.It takes approximately
10 years for a largemouth bass to get to six pounds here in new england waters.If you want to have a fish mounted,then take pictures
and measurements.Most taxidermists can do a good mount with the info and pictures.

I practice catch and release of all my fresh water bass, but I would not hold it against someone who kept a trophy. Everyone has their own way of fishing, and if its legal, then so be it. There are plenty of bass out there. But I hear ya with the photo. That would work.
