For example, a Crawdad, a little Pelican, a Coleman, a BPS one, etc.
We are looking to spend a max of a few hundred dollars, otherwise we would just get one of the $450 to $500 boats from Dicks or BPS.
If the boat had a lot of extras like motor and battery then maybe we could go above what we were hoping on spending.
I have been searching on Craigslist and the decent small bass boats in the price range we are looking for go really quick, so I thought it might be a good idea to start a thread here.
P.S. I may have a canoe to possibly trade if anyone was interested. This canoe may go sale, and if thats the case, I will be sure to post a separate thread in this forum about it!

but not really what we are looking for. Rather than a "jon boat" we need a plastic job like a small Pelican or the Coleman one (small bass boat I think they are called), something that I can throw on top of my car, or in the back of a pick-up truck. Also that is a little out of our price range, we could get a new plastic bass boat that fits my criteria for under $500 at Dicks.

$1200 plus registration? naw we are just looking at cost of boat, thats it, we have everything else we need.
From the canoe, we already have a Minn-Kota trolling motor, a battery, nice oars, life vests, a home-made live-well with aeroater, and we even have a fish finder. Yeah we will slowly upgrade components to the boat but initially its just gonna cost of boat plus registration (Is it anything like registering the canoe? cause that wasn't much money at all). I foresee the first two upgrades might be a new, more updated fish-finder, and maybe new seats, but those upgrades won't come till later.
Even if we don't find the boat used, the one we are eyeing at Dick's is $450, and the Coleman one I saw at Dicks last time I was there was either $500 or a couple dollars more or less than that... but definitely in the $500 range.
as a side note, if you need a small fish finder i'm about to put one up for sale. it's just the unit though.

i got a high quality inflatable raft. i have to say, it's not nearly as bad as you'd think. a 2 man set up is very fast, it's not that heavy inflated, and it's incredibly durable. 2 people easily fit and you can both stand up. i paid $450 for everything you need. i have a honda accord and throw everything in the trunk and back seats.
as a side note, if you need a small fish finder i'm about to put one up for sale. it's just the unit though.

Nice, yeah I have looked at a few of the inflatables, their portability seems like a great feature.
about the fishfinder: that unit you are going to sell is very similar to the one we already have (i think), but thanks for the heads up! we will probably get a pretty good one a little further down the road.
