i got a Field and Stream one from Dick's, I think it was right around $20. It seems to work pretty well. I just weighed some chicken in my fridge, which said 1.5 pounds, and the scaled weighed in at 1 pound 9 oz. I'd say that's just about spot on because the packaging and extra juices in the package probably adds an oz...
I have a Rapala Sportsman (I think it's called) that's been doing a fine job. I check it regularly with a 2-liter bottle of soda, and so far it's been spot on every time. It runs around 20 bucks on Amazon, and will handle fish up to 50 pounds but does bass sizes just as effectively.
