Long-sought-for pond, Westford

I was at this pond today and I was skunked while going for trout! The place was crowded and no fish were caught. Could stocked trout possibly be out fished within a few weeks?

They shouldn't be fished out within a couple Weeks. Today's weather wasn't the best to catch trout. What were You using?

dr, I had a 3/8 bullet weight on my main line that went down to a barell swivel. I then tied a 2 1/2 foot leader off the the swivel with green powerbait eggs on the hook

Try shortening your leader. 12-18 inches off the bottom is where I like to be. Unless it's weedy. And you want to have your line tight so you can tell when you get a bite. I like to keep my rod parallel to the water. I learned that from an old timer many many years ago. Not sure if it works but he always caught fish. Good luck
