The UBFL tour stopped at Lake Chauncey in Westborough this past Sunday. Welcoming our 12 teams were beautiful skies, warm temperatures a slight breeze and hungry bass.

Throwing out the honorary first Pats Perch this week was Ian "Superdad" Lipson. (Doing so for his wife Betsy "Supermom" Lipson also). This in recognition of their unwavering support for there 15 year old son Bryson "The Boy Wonder" Lipson love of fishing. The "Superparents" travel all over Mass allowing Bryson to enjoy his love and passion for fishing, and to compete in our tourneys and . Of course its not always convenient or easy and I'm sure there are other things you can be doing than driving Bryson to the launches but there you are every time. It's a pleasure to know you and I'm sure that "Team Marvel' will be well represented for years to come.

Chauncey was in a giving mood as lots of the 3lb + fish were brought to scale. The Fishing was great as limits were the norm. The bite was early and on the bottom...fast and furious..as rods were bending everywhere. Really good fishing that basically shut down at 10:00.

Taking home "The Belt" this week was the veteran UBFL team "The Bass Bangers" of Tony "Bassmaster" Rosarioooooooo (the Puerto Rican National Champion) and his longtime fishing partner Donny "Big Fish" Capen. I witnessed them catching fish all over the lake on a variety of baits culling most of the day. On fire comes to mind...perhaps smoking hot. They had the fish of Chauncey wanting to go for a boat ride with them eventually culling through 25+fish to put together a 17lb 10oz bag. A new big bag record for Chauncey eclipsing the former record of 17.7 held by yours truly. None of the UBFL regulars are surprised by this.....these tourney tough fisherman are wicked good anglers, can fish a thousand different ways, and recently won another big tourney. They are constant threats to take home the belt on any given Sunday. Excellent win guys!

Coming in Second this week with a very nice 16lb 9oz bag and continuing there upward climb in the team rankings was The "Callin all fish Team" of Colin "All Fish" Mayo-Fiske and his bass seeking friend Anthony "Hollywood" Itinerelli. The boys were on the bottom all day fishing low and slow. Another pay day for the most improved team of the year...Congrats Guys!

Colin “All Fish” also brought in the Big Bass this week .....Enticing a really pretty 5Lb 1 oz Pad Prowling Porker with a 10 inch worm to get his name on the Big bass board....upward and onward Colin!

Third place this week went to "The Young Guns" Team of Nick "The King" Queen fishing this week with his Dad Doug "Lightning McQueen" Queen" Glad to see your dad out there catching all the fish lol. The veteran father-son team culled through a boatload of bass to bring in a very respectable 16lb 7oz bag of Bluegill Bangers. Another good finish for the Young Guns!

We continue to be plagued by No shows! Not good.........please have a bit of respect for all of us and call or email if your not going to attend. Last week we had two teams sitting on their couch who would have gladly fished with us had we known these teams weren't going to show. I'm giving everyone a chance.......but.......two no shows, no call, or no email and that team will be excluded from the next two tourneys they have signed up for.

Our next tourney will be at Knops pond next Sunday...full field but we have no wait list on this one. Most likely we will have a few teams that can't make it.

*************This tourney will be starting at 6 and it will be an 8 hour tourney.******************

Tight lines....Rob
