My wife picked up a Cabela's Pro Guide Spinning Reel for me last Friday.
The price was right, and I figured it had to be a decent reel because it's made by Daiwa.
When I pulled it out of the box and tightened the handle. I noticed there's about a 1/16 inch gap between the handle and the body of the reel and the screw and the body.
That seems really excessive to me. Particularly compared to other reels I own.
that problem has been around for years with daiwa reels. sometimes they came with a small plastic washer between the handle and body. yours didn't so you need to find one. I liked daiwa spinning reels but gave up on them for another problem. if you play with it enough you may be able to get the bail to stay stuck up half open when you crank the handle. do it with just enough force to barely click the bail over. this happened with cabela's and dick's branded reels.
