belgrade pike

headed up to maine in 2 weeks! my buddy lives near messalonkee lake! i never caught a pike before!

any tips? location? how deep?

dont need a monster just want a pike

rather its 3 feet or 3lbs! dont care!!

My 2 faviorite lures are 1)#13- gold husky jerk rapalla
2) red and white dardevil

Just remember to use steel leaders. Pike are NOT leader shy, so the steel leaders just save gear.

What about location? Where would I find pike?? Shallow or deep

I plan on using some big spoons! And spinnerbaits!

i know this is old and youve probably already went, but i've read it's all about water temperature. wherever the water is the temp they like (forget exactly but it's on the cool side) they will be. If it's the temp all over shallow or deep. i imagine shallow. i read they like to hide in weeds, lily pads, any cover to ambush prey. or where the depth meets the weeds. if it's warm water they will be deep in the thermocline.

nice but aw man no pike for u? picks are beautiful fish tho! but yeah, always find the cool temps, then find the debris/cover areas in the cool.

yea wish it was cool then cuz i would of caught one.
i was bummed cuz i thought i had one but it was pickerel, i catch a ton of pickerel back home
