All kidding aside I really don't fish much differently. I look for weeds,rocks, overhangs, downed trees and docks. I fish flats, drop offs , points and humps. Learn to "read" a topo map. Be able to decipher what you are seeing on a map and given the season, where the bass are likely to be. When fishing deep rely on your depth finder and BELIEVE what it is showing you. Turn OFF the fish id feature. Find bait and you will find the bass.
The same lures and techniques you use on this side of the bridge work on that side as well. If I were going to fish a kettle pond tomorrow I would be sure to have a swimbait, a top water, a spinnerbait, jig, soft plastics in natural colors either texas rigged or carolina rigged, and a drop shot. Add a jerkbait and chatterbait in spring.
