What do I use for bait for carp

Corn and bread are the most basic effective baits , also oats seeds fruits all work too . Boilies are man made baits that work really well too . It goes from pretty simple to way complex real fast depending how into it you get . There's plenty of you tube videos that explain a lot such as bait and rigs . They are a lot of fun to catch

I agree with chowder, although I would add that corn is the easiest as it requires the least money, stays on the hook the best, and allows you to chum easily (throw extra bait around where yours landed to attract more fish)

I you are ever lookin for a carp fishin partner in the southern to central mass area lmk i have a few solid spots and always lookin for company

The fish in my profile picture is local within worcester county , it's around the mid 30 range . Give it a shot and good luck
