Just a suggestion(tell me 2 shut up if u want, lol) but if were not going to have a full field do we wanna lanch at the Fish and Game Access off of Chace Road(Raynham i think)??? makes it a lot shorter paddle to the back of the pond, again just a suggestion i'm okay with either launch site.
Public Access off of Chase Road,go past Lakeside Drive on rte.104,turn right onto East/Elm St. and another right onto East/Elm St.(i forget which is which,i'll check Sunday) take 2nd right onto Chace Road,at end it turns too dirt, continue thru the gate until you get to the rocks, room for half dozen cars or more.Parking area is 50 yards from beach but its really 50 yards with no hill, not like Ponkapoag.
I go to Chase Road half dozen times a year,it's not a hike,Ponkapoag is a hike! Wheels/cart make it easier but the boat ramp is fine by mePublic Access off of Chase Road,go past Lakeside Drive on rte.104,turn right onto East/Elm St. and another right onto East/Elm St.(i forget which is which,i'll check Sunday) take 2nd right onto Chace Road,at end it turns too dirt, continue thru the gate until you get to the rocks, room for half dozen cars or more.Parking area is 50 yards from beach but its really 50 yards with no hill, not like Ponkapoag.
i go to the nip all the time and the chase road is a hike with a yak...much easier to just launch at the ramp.
