Bass fishing proving difficult so far for me. Thrown everything at them with no luck.Had a few bites today no hook ups yet.Think I may go back to trout til water warms a bit. Fishing from shore such a chore this time of year fish so hard to find.
Shore fishing is tough this time of year. Every pond is different. Some ponds the fish are starting to move in closer and on others they are suspending out away from the bank. A few more degrees with the water temp will change things!
I went out on a boat Sunday at a farely shallow pond n nothing not even a slime dart! I agree should change after this wk saying 70 on Monday wooohoo!Also shore fisherman a heads up ticks are out n force already.
My strategy had always been to fish for trout til water warms but after catching my biggest bass in April 2 yrs ago have tried to get after bass earlier cause that is usually when the big ones come out n don't have to fight off the dinks.
