Went fishing with "Louie the dude" ladoude on Sunday and slayed the fish. Found a small pond in Marlborough that was 1/3 ice free and located a nice school of fish in 4 feet of water. Using a trap, the trick was to keep your pole really high on the retrieve and keeping the trap out of the weeds and rip when you feel any hesitation. We caught 12 or so fish including a bunch on consecutive casts.....what a day. The fish posted was 4.11 (weighed) with many others in the 3-4 lb class. Our five fish bag was in the 18 lb range.
