2nd time out finally produces a fish. First fish of the year woohoo! Just a decent slime dart but sure felt good under the warm april sun. Cool part abut it was seeing the fish slam the kvd square bill on my last twitch 5ft from shore.
i'm happy to say that i have yet to catch one of those slimy bastards this year (knock on wood). it's actually a little unbelievable that i've caught a bunch of bass already but 0 pickerel. i've been throwing lures that are typically dart magnets too.
Started last yr the same way same place. I think I just have trouble fishing slow enough for the bass this time of yr. Started off with a rattle trap but even this time of yr was getting more weeds than fish.
