Was thinking about getting a umbrella rig. Has anybody used one, and what kind of success did you have. I know the MA regulation is two hooks per angler. I was thinking of using one hook on the trailing swim bait and the remaining baits be dummies.

I really suck at throwing them. Never caught anything more than 12". I do plan on spending a good deal of time with them this year. I figure there is a reason why so many big fish are caught on them.

The only thing I can say for certain is that will get hung up often. My favorite rig is made by Paycheck baits.

FYI, they aren't allowed in tourneys guys! Someone found out the hard way last year with a tourney win AND disqualification all on the same day.

Not so much casting it, but trolling the rig behind my kayak. Also, Strike King makes a short arm titanium u-rig that might be lighter and easier to cast?

Takes the fun out of fishing! Why troll and try and catch a fish with a school of fish??yea it makes it easier but you need a heavy action rod and some serious line. That's like trolling with a net thrown off the side to catch as many fish as you can. Not for me but hey I can't sit still fishing so take it how it's given.
