Went to Chauncy today with Dave aka Badlarry, ice was thick, with a top layer of about 6-9 inches then a foot of slush/water/whatever then another 6 inches of ice below that
Slow day, had 8 flags with three 2-pound pickerel landed, although we lost one RIGHT at the hole that was really big (I know, I know, all the ones you lose are big, but we had him at the surface when he popped off and he was huge) so overall a good day.
